Walking Dead Wednesday: The Governor

SPOILER ALERT: I'm a fan of both The Walking Dead comic (issue #110 is out today YAY) and the television show...and every one I've talked to who has ONLY watched the show is flabbergasted that the Governor (aka Philip Blake, aka That crazy-ass motherfucker with a fucked up sense of interior decorating) didn't get his comeuppance by way of a bullet to the head or bite on the ass at the end of season 3. I, however, am THRILLED that the Governor is still around to fuck up everyone's shit (Rick's, in particular). If you've read the comic then you know what I'm talking about. 

I enjoy what the writers and actor David Morrissey have done with the role of The Governor in the series. The character is far more cordial, professional and subtle when he first appears which is vastly different than the long haired, smirking/sneering Governor of the comic.

One of my favorite things to do is to go to the wedding in Rivet City, wait for all of the guests to arrive, and then go out into the hall and throw a Nuka-Cola grenade through the door and into the chapel.

Fallout Friday 4-12-13

I have an online buddy who goes by the name Jess Gulbranson. Jess does many awesome things like write, sing, and parent. He's currently developing an RPG with his kid, which is an example of SWEET AS HELL parenting! In addition to anthologies that have stories by him, he also has a book out. Here's the link:

What I like most about Jess, however, is his fondness for the video game Fallout: New Vegas by Bethesda. I fucking LOVE Fallout: New Vegas. What I also adore about Jess is that he prefers FNV over Fallout 3. I consider Jess kindred. There aren't many of us who enjoy traipsing around the Mojave over exploring the Capital Wasteland, at least none that I've met. We must stick together.

So a few weeks ago, I decided that my favorite Friday evening activity was to post Fallout memes, lego tributes, videos, etc. to Jess's timeline on Facebook. This turned out to be a surprising success, although the only reason I call it a success is that I enjoyed the hell out of bombarding Jess with silliness. I've decided that Fallout Friday should now occur on my blog, since I just redesigned it and it looks all badass.

Walking Dead Wednesday

I love The Walking Dead. I love the comic. I love the show on AMC. I love the backstory novels. I love the videogame. Well, I love The Walking Dead game by Telltale Games...The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct sucks ass. I wish I had some friends to play the Walking Dead board games with because I'm sure I'd love those, as well.

And I love the memes. I really love the goofy ones that point out ridiculous truths about the show and the characters. The memes that say what we all were thinking while watching the show (some of the Andrea-picking-up-pliers pics are hilarious as fuck).

So, since we won't be getting any new episodes of the show until October, I've decided to start Walking Dead Wednesday on my blog here to share various memes and thoughts about the show, comic, novels, etc.
